When you’re in debt to credit card companies, finance companies, etc…you see all kinds of ads promising to consolidate your debt and get you to pay it off for one payment per month. But how are these debt consolidation firms when it comes to dealing with the IRS?

Getting cheated…As a former IRS-Hitman I’ve watched many people get taken by so called “pennies on the dollar” tax settlement, only to have the IRS deny their request and the company that helped them has run off with their money.

The New York Yankees are calling it a day in old Yankee Stadium, their home since the mid-1970’s. Tickets for the final Yankee game are going for over $16,000 apiece online.

The baseball public may be losing their minds. The New York Yankees final game at Yankee Stadium will be September 21st, versus the Baltimore Orioles. An ordinary game against an ordinary MLB foe.

However, since it will be the final Yankee game at Yankee Stadium, automatically in the public’s mind an inflated value is attached. This value, that it is the final Yankee game, has created an uproar for tickets to this one game. The value has risen to over $16,000 on StubHub, and could climb even further.

We are talking about hard-working coaches who are just as dedicated to winning as the players themselves. Don’t you think these team members are worthy of trophies, too?

Umpires Over Technology - Dinosaurs In 21st Century Cricket

admin on March 27th, 2008 | File Under Recreation and Sports -

In an era when we read about corporate scandals–including former reputable bank managers, highly respectable pastors and trustworthy politicians– cricket has established a Mount Olympus of virtue: a list of elite umpires in a mythical tower of infallibility. The last time I checked the list of Popes, from their inception by the Cardinal of Bishops in 1099, history could have difficulty assigning the adjective “respectful” to names of corrupt Popes like Pope Pius 111, Pope Fernan Martin V, and Pope Philip Le Bel or “Fair Philip” 1285-1314. Let us not forget that the only non-Muslim male that the Holy Koran cites as an example of Pious living, Isa Ibm Miriam (Jesus son of Mary)–He chose an elite list of 12, and one betrayed him for money.

Mixed Martial Arts Vs Boxing - Is Mma Ufc Fighting Boxings Successor?

admin on March 9th, 2008 | File Under Recreation and Sports -

“Boxing’s dead.”

“Boxing’s not what it used to be.”

“There are no good fighters out there today.”

These are just a few of the comments thrown around by fans of the sport of kings waiting patiently for a breath of life into the flailing lungs of boxing.

In spite of a virtual plethora of organizations boasting their own version of a world title, most people would fail to name even one of the men who stake claim to a form of the fragmented heavyweight championship. WBA, WBC, IBF, WBO, IBO (quite possibly, another organization surfaced as this article was being written), does it matter anymore?
